Set up BrightOps Inventory

Save an account inventory before a migration. You need desktop Chrome, administrator access to the account, and its installed CRM app.

1. Connect the account

In GHL, switch to the subaccount you want to scan and open BrightOps Inventory in the left menu. An agency menu entry also points you to an installed subaccount before connecting. Choose Connect account securely. Sign in through your CRM and select the subaccount you want to inventory. Return to Inventory, confirm its name, then choose Create private inventory. API access gaps stay visible.

2. Install and connect Chrome

Use the Chrome Web Store link shown in Inventory when the companion is published. Choose Add to Chrome. Return to Inventory inside GHL, reload it, then choose Connect Chrome. You will never need Developer mode or a pairing token.

The screenshot page shows your account name and CRM site. Choose Start screenshots and allow only the named sites. Chrome displays a debugging notice while the companion reads its dedicated capture tab and blocks source writes. Keep the progress page open until it finishes. Your ordinary tabs remain separate.

3. Review your saved inventory

Check Records and access gaps and Original-page screenshots. A completed scan may have gaps: it does not promise every record, hidden definition or page is accessible. Download your private inventory when ready. You control whether to share that download.

If something interrupts setup

If your sign-in expires, connect the same account again; saved work remains. If Chrome restarts or a scan connection expires, return to Inventory, resume a stopped scan and choose Connect Chrome. If a page needs a write to load or displays credentials, the companion saves a gap. Do not change source permissions or settings to bypass it.

For help, contact sundar@brightops.io. Include the scan ID and the visible error, without credentials or customer data.
